Too Much Fun At Far
So its been about 10 years since the boys in Far broke up. I remember hearing that they had broken up the summer before moving away to Humboldt County and was disappointed that I never had the chance to see them live. So finally I had my chance and I must say the sold out show at Empire last Thursday January 15th was most festive maybe even too festive for me. I started out the evening knocking a few cold ones back at my friends house and then had a late sushi dinner at Rickshaws. 
Now I’m all about sushi don’t get me wrong but as some of you drinkers might know its not the best base for a night that might involve the consumption of many strong drinks. In anycase 12 beers later maybe a few shots give or take…I found myself in the mix at Empire for the sold out show. I had a kick ass time that night just feeling the vibe of the entire crowd, who like me had been waiting for a few years to see the reformation of this band. In my altered state I was able to snag some footage and with the assistance of friends grab the set list. I must state for the record the next day I felt like I had been kicked in the face by a small calf or maybe mauled a wildcat hiding in the bushes on the corner of R and 14th street but it was all worth it to catch FAR.
